The big ones

Our exciting activities in our preschool rooms are focused around the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) framework. Our objective is to prepare your child for school for full time education and to ensure that the children are stimulated and having fun whilst learning through play. Our activities are led by the children’s own interests and designed to create a love of learning that will stay with them forever.

In this rooms, our pre-schoolers do small group activities, for example listening games, introduce telling the time, communication, language and literacy, problem solving , reasoning and numeracy.

During your child’s session we will offer a well planned purposeful curriculum, which comprises activities which are structured around each child’s individual developmental needs, as well as a broad choice of play activities.  We have a designated maths area and have group sessions focused on maths and phonics.

We hold daily singing music/movement sessions and the children enjoy being expressive using the musical instruments and other materials. The children are encouraged to enjoy books in our cosy area encouraging them to build their concentration levels as part of school readiness.

We also focus on developing children’s independent skills within our preschool room and children are provided with opportunities throughout the day to demonstrate and develop these skills.
